It is evident that the company tries to enhance things (which is appreciated), but the difficulties of the job is never diminished (meaning the hardship remains).Īfter all said and done, the pay/benefits are not horrible when compared with other entry jobs and more physically - more.VMD Corp is a new company that took over the contract in Kansas City Missouri (2020). I ignored the term "high turnover" prior to working, and didn't realize that it's not on TSO is a high turnover job, I believe for the reasons above (But much of it comes with the position, not the company). The hardest part of the job can be the odd hours, dealing with difficult passengers, growing fatigue, leaders who borderline (and cross the line) abuse their authority, misleading communication/moves from the company (seems to come from good-intention to make things seem better, but it results in trust of the company), and sometimes co-workers who have uncontrolled gossips and are careless for others.

The job itself is not difficult, but the odd work hours for many can be much tiresome. Working as a Transportation Security Officer is not for everyone, but for some it can serve as a starting point for career advancement.
